John D. Irwin was my GG grandfather, DOB 3/21/1834-DOD 9/15/1917
in Lackawack, NY. He fought in the Civil War. He enlisted 8/8/1862 in
the 120th Infantry, NY Reg. E Company and was discharged 10-17-1863.
Lost his right arm in Chancellorsville. After his right hand was shot off
they amputated the rest of the arm. He married Mary Sarah Marie"Rosella
Eck and they had 12 children.
